Summer Camp has begun

Hello Bloggers, I'm so excited that Summer Card Camp has begun. It was just the bit of sunshine I needed to get me out of my funk! If you're not joining in the fun at camp you can follow me as I go along in the journey. But really I must say it's a great deal. You can find all the details on Jennifer McGuire's blog or you can click HERE for more details.
Here is my card for the first week's color combo.
This first thing I realized with this color combo is I don't do purple! I did find some purple twine and gem stones but other than that I don't have much in the way of purple. For the flower I really wanted something in bright pink so after I embossed my flower in white I added "Worn Lipstick" distress ink by swiping it directly from the pad to the paper. I was happy with the results. I also swiped it across a piece of white cardstock to create the border at the bottom of the card.

I think I will also add this to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is...

Thanks so much for stopping by. And if you're at camp please let me know. I would love hang out with you and see what you're creating.

TTFN!

  7. LoL - I don't 'do' purple either! I always have a hard time with that one. ;-) But you worked it in so beautifully. I love the layers at the bottom, and that fabulous flower on the side. I think the purple twine and the rhinestones are the perfect touch. Beautiful! ;-)
